Hearing Care at Batty & Dexter
Life is filled with moments worth hearing, laughter with loved ones, your favourite music, or the gentle sound of nature on a walk. But when hearing begins to change, these experiences can fade gradually, often without you realising. At Batty & Dexter, we believe looking after your hearing is just as important as caring for your eyes. That’s why we’ve partnered with Amplify Hearing to provide expert hearing care at our Aintree, Hunts Cross, and Southport locations.
Free Hearing Assessments
We offer complimentary hearing checks so you can keep on top of your hearing health. Each 45-60 minute appointment gives you plenty of time to ask questions and understand your hearing health.
During your visit, our specialists will:
- Talk with you about any changes you’ve noticed
- Gently examine your ears and ear canals
- Carry out an advanced hearing test using the latest equipment
- Go through your results clearly and simply
- Provide straightforward, personalised advice
Even if you don’t feel you have a problem, regular checks are a great way to protect your hearing for the future.
Gentle Ear Wax Removal
Sometimes hearing issues are due to earwax rather than hearing loss. Our professional microsuction service removes excess wax safely and comfortably using a gentle suction device, with no need for water.
Most people notice clearer hearing straight away, and the process usually takes just 15 minutes.
Hearing Aids Designed for Everyday Life
Modern hearing aids are discreet, comfortable, and full of clever features to make daily life easier. Whether you’d like to hear conversations more clearly, enjoy music again, or connect directly to your phone or TV, we can help you find the right solution.
What we offer at Batty & Dexter:
- Nearly invisible, comfortable styles
- Rechargeable batteries for convenience
- Bluetooth connectivity for calls, music, and TV
- In-practice demonstrations so you can hear the difference yourself
- Exclusive access to Beltone hearing aids
- Up to 5 years’ warranty plus lifetime aftercare for your peace of mind
Our Experienced Audiologist
Matthew Kearon-Warrilow
Matthew qualified as an Audiologist in 2013, from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. He has worked in both the private and NHS sectors during this time, and is also qualified in wax removal via microsuction. Matthew likes spending time getting to know his patients well, in order to ensure they are provided with the right care, and the most suitable hearing instruments and solutions to help improve their everyday life. Helping patients hear better in situations specific to them is the most satisfying part of his job.
In his spare time, Matthew plays bass guitar in a band and was proud to release an album a couple of years ago. He also enjoys spending time and traveling with his young family and their dog Pinto. When he’s not busy, Matthew will happily sit and watch any sport on TV for hours, especially cricket!
